Community Access Programme (C.A.P)

A free, open door into the SUGRiA community — built for anyone who wants to learn, connect, and grow with us, whether or not you are a farmer.

01 About the Programme

About SUGRiA Community Access Programme

The Sustainable Green Revolution in Africa (SUGRiA) Community Access Programme is a community-based learning and mobilisation programme designed to provide individuals across Africa with access to free training, knowledge and opportunities connected to sustainable agriculture, green development, food security, entrepreneurship, community development and related areas.

The programme is built on a simple belief:

One person may start an idea, but a community creates impact.

SUGRiA is therefore not simply seeking to train individuals. We are building communities of people who can learn together, share knowledge, collaborate and contribute to sustainable agricultural and economic development across Africa.

Achieving this vision requires more than individual participation. It requires strong communities built around farmers, aspiring farmers, entrepreneurs, young people, professionals and other people who are committed to creating sustainable change. The Community Access Programme is one of the ways SUGRiA intends to build that movement.

02 Our Philosophy

Our Community-Building Philosophy

The SUGRiA Community Access Programme is designed around community mobilisation. Every participant is encouraged to bring people from their own community into the programme and build a community of participants around them. The objective is not simply to generate referrals — the objective is to create communities of people who can learn together, exchange ideas, collaborate and contribute to transforming agriculture.

04 Cost of Training
The Training Is Free

Participation in the SUGRiA Community Access Programme training is free. Participants are not required to pay a training admission fee. The free training gives participants the opportunity to learn about SUGRiA's areas of work, participate in designated training sessions and gain exposure to the wider SUGRiA ecosystem.

Participants are required to fulfil the applicable Community Mobilisation Requirement before their training access is activated.
05 How Access Is Activated

Community Mobilisation Requirement

What You Need To Do

SUGRiA believes that sustainable development becomes more effective when people work together. For this reason, each registered participant will receive a unique referral code or referral link.

Participants are expected to use their referral code or link to invite people from their community to register for the free SUGRiA Community Access Programme. The people invited do not have to pay to attend the free training.

The broader objective is for each participant to build a community of at least 100 participants around them.

Why Community Mobilisation?

SUGRiA is working toward reaching 100 million farmers across Africa by 2030. To reach millions of people across the continent, we need communities that can grow organically from within their own local environments.

A participant who brings people from their community is not simply making a referral — they are helping to create a network of people who can learn, collaborate and create sustainable impact together.

06 Tracking Your Community

Referral System

Each participant will receive a unique SUGRiA referral code or referral link. The referral system allows SUGRiA to:

Track community mobilisation
Identify participants within community networks
Measure programme reach
Support community development
Recognise community-building efforts
Build a structured network across participating communities

Participants must use the referral system honestly. False registrations, duplicate accounts, fabricated referrals or misleading information are not permitted.

A referral code does not represent an investment, financial product or promise of income. Participants are not required to pay money to make referrals.

07 Participation Options

Option A — Free Community Access

During registration, every applicant must choose their preferred participation option. Here is the first of the two options.

Free Community Access

The participant chooses to participate in the free SUGRiA Community Access training without purchasing the Training Package and Certification. The participant must still satisfy the applicable Community Mobilisation Requirement before training access is activated.

  • Attend the designated free training sessions
  • No Training Package, Training Materials or Certification, unless separately qualified for and obtained under the applicable programme terms
  • Note: A participant who only attends the free training is not automatically a SUGRiA Community Member.
08 Participation Options

Option B — Training Package and Certification

This option is completely voluntary. The applicant must select this option and complete payment during the registration process.

Training Package Fee

$3
  • SUGRiA training materials
  • Learning resources
  • Applicable course materials
  • SUGRiA certification
  • Other resources specified for the relevant programme cycle

Important: payment for the Training Package and Certification is not payment for attendance at the free Community Access training. The Community Access training remains free — this payment is specifically for the applicable Training Package, Training Materials and Certification.

09 Membership Requirements

How To Become a SUGRiA Community Member

SUGRiA Community Membership is not automatic. A participant becomes a SUGRiA Community Member only after satisfying the defined membership requirements below.

1

Community Mobilisation

The participant must participate in the SUGRiA community-building initiative and work toward building a community of 100 participants through the SUGRiA referral system.

2

Training Package and Certification

The participant must select and pay for the applicable Training Package, Training Materials and Certification during registration.

3

Minimum Training Attendance

The participant must attend at least 85% of the required training sessions. Attendance will be recorded and verified by SUGRiA.

4

Successful Certification

The participant must successfully complete the applicable certification requirements and qualify for the SUGRiA certificate.

Community Mobilisation + Training Package & Certification + Minimum 85% Attendance + Successful Certification
= SUGRiA Community Membership
